Anatoly Yermolov
Student of the Month
October 2002

GMAT score: 710
TOEFL score: 273

The point of our Student of the Month page is to pick students who epitomize the qualities of a good student and who succeed in whatever they attempt to do. This month this is exactly what we bring you. Anatoly Yermolov has taken all of our Pre-MBA courses, GMAT Preparation, TOEFL Preparation, and MBA Advising, and as you can see that hard work he put into studying paid off. Though he used many of the methods that we teach in our classes, Anatoly deserves all the credit for going out there and gaining the results that many people only dream of obtaining. 710 on the GMAT, 273 on the TOEFL with a 5 on the essay portion, the only words that come to my mouth are WOW! and WAY TO GO!

We at Pericles are very proud of him, mostly because he shows that hard work, determination, and dedication can truly lead to success, which is why he was chosen as October's Student of the Month.

Anatoly is a graduate of the Russian Finance Academy where he studied Finance with a specialization in taxation. After graduation and years of working Anatoly ended up at ABN AMRO Bank where he handles the accounts of chemical and pharmaceutical companies. After years here he decided to go and get his MBA so he came to Pericles to obtain the help that he felt he needed, and as you can see that help paid off (see above scores).

Now that the exams are over, Anatoly has started the application process. Some of the schools that he plans on applying to include Wharton, Kellogg, Duke, and INSEAD. He hopes to obtain some financial aid to help pay for his costs, which nowadays most schools have some kind of cooperation with a bank so this should not be a problem. After graduation he plans on pursuing a career in corporate finance and hopes to work in the healthcare sector, either with an investment bank or a major pharmaceutical company.

Well Anatoly, I am sure that you will have no problem getting into any of the business schools and any company would be making a mistake not to hire you once you finish your studies.

Anatoly, Pericles would like to say GOOD JOB and GOOD LUCK in the future and we know the kind of person you are and know that no matter what you try to do you will be successful. We would also like to say thank you for choosing Pericles. We enjoyed having you as a student.

Postscriptum: On February 25, 2003, Anatoly informed us that he was accepted to Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Congratulations again, Anatoly!
