Marina Kiriliok was chosen our July 2000 Student of
the Month in recognition of her being awarded the prestigious Edmund
S. Muskie fellowship. Marina received a degree in International law
from MGIMO, and has worked for four years in various law firms in the
field of International Commercial Arbitration. At Pericles ABLE Project
she took courses in GMAT Preparation and MBA Advising. She has been
accepted to Columbia Law School, but has not yet finalized her future
plans. Whatever she decides, we're sure she will find success. Congratulations
Marina!
UPDATE: Marina has just notified us that not only
did she receive the Muskie Fellowship but she also received the British
Chevening Scholarship and a Chevening Queen's Award. These awards allowed
her to study at the London School of Economics where she is currently
studying to finish her LL.M. in London.
The Edmund S. Muskie Fellowship program provides participants
with the opportunity to pursue graduate study at the master's level
in the United States. The program provides full scholarships to participants,
including university tuition, fees, room, board, health insurance, monthly
stipend, book allowance, and international and domestic travel. Students
are chosen in the fields of business administration, economics, education,
environmental management, international affairs, journalism and mass
communications, law, library and information science, public administration,
public health, and public policy.
